That’s all that took BMW to create an engine which during the 1985 & 1986 Formula 1 season produced around 1,200-1,350hp in qualifying trim.  Yes, from a 1500cc motor.

Oh, did I also mention the block could handle the 5.5 bar of boost it was being asked to deal with? Yeah, that’s roughly 80 psi which in layman’s terms is…a fucking lot of boost.
